Panther Prowlers is designed to give your maturing elementary student a variety of activities within a very supportive and structured environment. Graduating beyond the self-contained classrooms of Panther Paws and Panther Cubs, campers entering 1st or 2nd grade move from activity to activity with their homeroom groups. A rotating schedule allows campers to sample new activities and work with different teachers while staying within the comfortable, friendly environment of their core group of campers.

Each small class is led by enthusiastic teachers and teaching assistants who work together to create a stimulating environment where students are encouraged to try new things and make new friends. Ample time is allotted for play as well as participation in special activities with their homeroom groups. Panther Prowlers prepares your camper for a changing schedule, which they may soon experience in school or in the future at our Discovery Camp.

PANTHER PASSPORT

Passport campers have fun-filled adventures off campus every day. Each morning after stories, they hop on the bus and head off to explore some of the fascinating sites our area has to offer. With experienced teachers as our guides, campers visit museums, outdoor parks and attractions, performance venues, and much more. Last year, highlights included the National Gallery, where campers saw works of art they had learned about earlier in the week; The Wolftrap Center for Theatre in the Woods; and the Washington Harbor Boat Tour. Our caring and attentive staff ensures that each camper enjoys and fully benefits from these fun and educational experiences. Campers gather each morning before embarking on their daily adventure. After a picnic lunch, they return to The Potomac School for activities and projects that draw upon the morning’s adventure.

A schedule of activities and rainy-day substitutions will be sent to families in advance of camp.
